Dialogue by Ilariya

“Hi, mister, why are you
sitting on the ground?” a little girl asked. “You shouldn’t do that, my mum said that it is bad for your health.”
It definitely wasn't man’s best day. “What?” he mumbled. It looked like he barely noticed the girl.
“I was working extremely hard, 5 years I was going for that, but I failed, everything is ended,” mumbled man. He was talking more to himself than answering to the girl.
“OH, then it’s good, isn’t it?” responded the girl and smiled.
“What, no! How it can be any good,” indignantly exclaimed man.
“You are taking everything wrong,” declared the girl and raised her finger up. “Failures are amazing, they can teach you so much. And they definitely shouldn't stop you. As my mum says: if you will run too fast you can easily overrun your dream”
The man looked puzzled.
“See, I have many toys, but I don’t play them much. And if they went, I won’t be upset, because I got them very easy, I asked my mum and she bought them. But once I saw that my friend, Amy, had the coolest elephant toy. I wanted it so much. But there was a problem, you see” the girl made a dramatic pause. “You couldn’t buy it. Amy did it herself on that evening class. So I went there, but my first try was a disaster, it didn’t even looked like an elephant and had only one ear.”
The man was listening attentively.
“I didn’t want to go to that class anymore,” the girl continued. “And my mum said that if I really want it, I shouldn’t stop trying. But if it was just my emotional wish no one was forcing me to attend that class. And I really desperately wanted it,” the girl made a pause.
“It took me a few months to learn how to sew and make that elephant. Now it’s my favourite toy.”
“And do you know what this means?” the girl looked right in the man’s eyes. “If it's really your dream failures shouldn’t stop you and if it is not, then there are no reasons to be upset.”
“See it’s easy,” finished the girl.
“You probably right, it's really easy,” the man said looking in nowhere. Next, he looked at the girl. “Thank you, you really helped me,” the man smiled. “And your mum is a really wise woman.”
“Of course she is,” the girl smiled.
The man stood up from the ground took his jacket, which was lying near him and singing some song went out of the park.
