He had had a perfect vision and never considered losing it.
Although he appreciated the smell of his wife’s bakery from the kitchen, hehad never been fully aware of the exquisite meaning of fragrances. It seemed likea disaster to him to lose his vision. His eyesight has always been excellent. He sometimes even surprised his friends byseeing very distant objects clearly. When he saw sightless stinky beggars on his way to the office he had nothing but pity towards them. Andone day after a terrible road accident he lost his eyesight. Unable to see, he looked for any reason to cheer himself. Thus he gradually became happy about being so conscious of aromas. He discovered a range of new perceptions such as sweet, mild, sparkly, zesty, balsamic flavors. It was a new form of life. A brand new dimension he had failed to see until he became blind. He was overwhelmed by new feelings. It was something unexpected for him. Before he didn’t appreciate the arom aof spring. But now during theseason,he liked walking with his children in the countryside smelling the delicious floral aroma. Once he spent all day with lemon’s acridbouquet. All these new feelings of freshness made him recollect the old days of his childhood. Then he adored the divine and lovely smellof his mother's hand when she patted him on his head. Then he got a lungful of fresh air again. And something brought him back into the railway station where he used to go with his father. The toxic scent there was suffocating.Insidethe station the air was stale. And outside,it was abundant with unpleasant smoke and put rid stink from cigarettes and fast-food. Clearly, there was enough of thinks to smell for his whole life. And enough experience to recall.
