Gospel Noble Truth by Kristina Vorotnikova

(A Tribute to Allen Ginsberg)

Born in this world
your smile is the strongest acid and it seems
i’m addicted to it;
i wish you could understand it, but jack only laughs at me and whispers you couldn’t even understand yourself
You’ve got to suffer
then he appeared and i almost gave up;
i wanted to forget your eyes the color of the hudson river’s, but
that night you said you needed me more than i needed you; that i said i admire you more than bill’s writings; the next morning you were gone anyway
Everything changes
you returned a few weeks later, with ruby red hands, sweating and shuddering;
he’s already had no breath; he’s been off but i still
loathed him, the image of his hands around your waist so i‘ve taken the knife
You got no soul thepolicereport you said i was nothing
so convincing
we(ourselves) were the hippos
who were boiled in
