Do you have a skeleton in the cupboard? I do

by Masha Dumanska

All people have some secrets. Everybody owns some information, which he/she doesn’t want to share with anyone else. It can be an action, story, words, which were made up and which you want to forget. Especially, when it is about something bad.
And soon we move on, we meet new people, learn or do something new. We pretend that everything is still the same. Sometimes we believe in this lie. But there are days, when we remember our secret and think about it. But also there can be some good memories, which we don’t want to share with anyone. It is private. It is our. And it is only our right – whether to tell it to somebody or not. I think that it is good to have secrets, because first of all, it is normal not to share every piece of information about you with somebody else.

Secondly, sometimes it creates an interest about the person. He/she can be quite open but still, there can be something more that we feel but can’t express exactly. This behavior or its imitation must helped a lot of famous people to gain an interest and popularity. And thirdly, I think that all of us would prefer not to know everything about each other. We are comfortable with that knowledge that we already have had about people.

I think that this skeleton or secret is a normal part of our lives. Of course, this is not connected with hiding some serious information, which can lead to some bad consequences. This skeleton can be about our family, friends, lovers, feelings, actions. On the other side, such secrets mustn’t damage our lives or hurt people too much. So there must some kind of limit of their power over us.

All in all, having secrets is normal but on the other hand such skeletons can differ. And people should see the difference between them and not permit them to change their lives in a worse way.
