It was just a day like many others. She was sitting on the sill, looking through the
window. Autumn finally started with all the consequences. People outside were
quickly running for their businesses. The rain tried to wet them all, but they didn’t
even notice it. They just turned up the collars on their coats, opened their umbrellas
and went on, following their aims.
Some of them were hurrying home after a day full of worries. Some were trying
to get to their jobs, because they had to work at night. Some agreed to walk out with
friends, but ht e weather ruined all their plans, so they occupied all cafes, restaurants,
cinemas, clubs and other places of entertainment in the neighborhood. Some just
needed to walk their dogs and they wanted to do it as fast as possible so that they
could finally get warmed in their beds, watching TV and drinking tea with some sweets.
She was sitting on the sill, drinking coffee and looking through the window, but
she didn’t notice anything, because of the tears flowing from her eyes. Today the
dream of her life broke down. Now she has no chances to win the National Ballroom
Dancing Championship, because her partner left her without telling anything. He just
moved to London, because his friend offered him a partnership there. Now, he will be
able to improve his dancing and to take part in European and WDSF Championships
presenting Great Britain, which gives him much more chances to move to the Final and
to take the prize place. And for her it was the end of everything.
All the day she was saying goodbye to the dream of her life. She decided to give
up dancing at all, but something inside didn’t let her do it. She wiped her tears and
looked through the window finally noticing all that was happening outside. The
weather had such a state that was in her soul. But all she could see was a couple of
children, who were dancing right in the middle of the street not afraid to get wet or to
get a cold. They were happily dancing Jive, no matter what happens around.
She couldn’t take her eyes of them. She remembered herself at that age. Those
memories and the shine in their eyes returned her hope. She made up her decision.
She won’t give up, never.
It was just a day like many others. But for her it was a start of something big.
A story without adjectives (improved with adjectives)
It was just a day like many others. She was sitting on the huge white sill, looking
through the big clean window. Autumn finally started with all the consequences.
People outside were quickly running for their businesses. The heavy rain tried to wet
them all, but they didn’t even notice it. They just turned up the collars on their warm
coats, opened their colorful umbrellas and went on, following their aims.
Some of them were hurrying home after a complicated day full of worries. Some
were trying to get to their jobs, because they had to work late at night. Some agreed to
walk out with friends, but the weather ruined all their plans, so they occupied all cheap
cafes, expensive restaurants, cinemas, night clubs and other places of entertainment in
the neighborhood. Some just needed to walk their beloved dogs and they wanted to
do it as fast as possible so that they could finally get warmed in their soft beds,
watching interesting films or TV-programs and drinking tea with some delicious
sweets.
She was sitting on the huge white sill, drinking hot coffee and looking through
the big clean window, but she didn’t notice anything, because of the tears flowing
from her beautiful brown eyes. Today the main dream of her life broke down. Now she
has no chances to win the National Ballroom Dancing Championship, because her
partner left her without telling anything. He just moved to London, because his best
friend offered him a new partnership there. Now, he will be able to improve his
dancing and to take part in European and WDSF Championships presenting Great
Britain, which gives him much more chances to move to the Final and to take the prize
place. And for her it was the end of everything.
