stood a little on the sidewalk, and finally came to me. He always had this big blue eyes with all the world’s sorrow in. Sometimes I thought that I would disappear and dissolve if I looked straight at them for too long.
Meanwhile, Jenny in the other part of the city were ready to go out in a summer dress, with a barrette in her hair, that held one of the half of it, divided at the middle. She was standing in front of the mirror by the entrance door.
I waved "hello" to Cody and we embraced as if we were too lost brothers. He was a little depressed, more than usual. My poor innocent brother, a poet and a singer of a dawn and sadness. I noticed that from the first glance and invited him to a bar that was about few minutes away. But he rejected my offer and we decided just to walk around.
Jenny finally went out in the noisy city. Absorbing cod, rambling and buzz of the streets, she went across the alley and went on towards us, though she had not known about it yet.
We were going on the 5th Street, speaking about some unimportant things, watching the delivery men on bikes riding to their destination.
She came from the corner all that pretty and young. I had seen her first and started to wave and cry hello one time. I always was glad to see familiar faces, even if the conversation with your acquaintance could be only boring.
Cody wasn't so happy. When he noticed Jane he tried to hide behind my back.
Jane smiled at me and came to say a few words. She wasn't confused as Cody was. Just said hello and go away after a while.
Cody was sad followed her with a long gaze.
He tried to laid down with her few days ago than they two were drunk at her place. And I found out later that she did not agree.
My poor brother lost brother he was depressed and as I knew him could not get rid of the feeling that he is the most worthless creature in a world.
But maybe there were something more...
