Lost Memories by Myroslava Myrynchuk

Alex fidgeted nervously in his chair.

Оf course, he has been waiting for this moment, probably more than for his own birthday. The hospital walls did not hesitate to take the blush from Elizabeth's cheeks, practically turning her recently lively body into a lifeless doll. Three months had passed since Elizabeth fell into a coma due to the accident and almost everyone, even her relatives, were gradually losing faith that her sweet voice would ever sing again, but today God finally heard the young man's prayers and brought back his beloved. The girl opened her gray eyes, but even this simple action took an enormous amount of strength from her.

—How are you feeling, my love? - Alex spoke quietly

—Terribly, but to be honest, I'm more interested in where I am, who I am, and most importantly, who you are?

—Baby, don't you recognize me? - in a second, Alex's voice rose from a whisper to a cry of despair
