(philosophic melancholia)
The first thing that pop into your eyes above the window frames is a half-ruined ‘Gostynnyy dvir’. It is rather gray and sad and reminds everyone about that unfair fire, which destroyed it years ago.
There are also some warm-coloured buildings near The Kontractova square. Like Diamond bank, a little castle below, and other offices and houses.
My attention is captured by the building that appears a bit further. It looks like Vernadskoho library, but it can’t be it, I suppose. This construction is very interesting with its design: it’s rather modern, soviet & strict. I like it. It looks quite extraordinary between some ancient buildings here.
But the most beautiful thing in my window right now (just as almost by the way) is the sky. It is absolutely fabulous! It is covered by gray and blue deep shadows and it burns somewhere with bright sparkles of the sun.
So the mood of this picture is rather ambivalent. Because the sky and the street as well show us both colours of life: black & white. Meaning a total balance.
