A Date by Sophia Osadcha

 – This painting is so ridiculously boring,

I almost hate it.

– Really? I thought it was pretty… Maybe you’re right, let’s go to the next one.

– I’d say that the whole exhibition is quite dull. I mean, everything just looks pretty and happy; there’s no conflict.

– Why should there be a conflict? But if you don’t like it here, we can go somewhere else.

– And you will just be okay with that?

– I mean, if you’re unhappy here…

– Didn’t you organise the whole date? I believed you wanted to come here.

– I did, but we can think of something else.

– And you will be ok with me messing up all of your plans.

– It’s not that serious, let’s just go grab a coffee.

– No-no-no, you’ve planned the whole day, and now you’re completely alright with us going for coffee instead. Didn’t you like the art here?

– It doesn’t really matter, I just don’t want to fight.

– Do you like it here?!

– If you say it’s boring, then maybe it is.

– Do you personally enjoy it?

– Why are you acting like that? I wanted us to go somewhere nice, we hadn’t done it in a while. And you’re into art, so I thought…

– Which art am I into?

– Like… pictures?

– So you chose an exhibition neither of us was interested in.

– I’ll be happy to go somewhere together regardless.

– Alright, how about we quit this and go bowling.

– Surely!

– You said you hated bowling. Why do you always agree with everything? You never tell me what you want, I never know what you are into! Gosh, I don’t even understand if you are enjoying this relationship.

– Let’s go bowling, I don’t mind it.

– Do you love me or do you merely not want to be single?

– Do you love me?

– Do you want to break up?
