Deja vu by Julia Gordijchenko

It's said, before we are born, we have a few seconds
to look at our whole life. However, when we are born, we forget everything. Although often it seems to us that we have seen certain situations somewhere or sensed its. This is called Deja vu.
I lived a wonderful and rich life, with problems, losses, joys and love, like all people on earth. I was born in a small town where life passed quietly and calmly where all residents knew each other. There was no private life. My father often drank and beat my mother. I hated my father, but did not spare my mother, because she herself was to blame for her patience and boundless love for her alcoholic husband.
I felt lonely. I wanted quickly to leave this city and this family, but the war turned all my plans. Father was taken into the army and our city was bombed ruthlessly.
After the war, father did not return. My mother and I moved to another city to find a job. It was hard for us in a new place, to get used to a big city. My mother could not stand the changes, fell ill and soon died. I was left alone.
Before long, I was given to the orphanage. It was not the worst time, there I found real friends and understood how I want to build my life. Lifу gradually improved, I entered the university, found a job, got married and started a dog.
My wife was a beautiful and kind woman. After years of loneliness and pain, I finally found my home - it's she. But painful illness took her from me.
Now, when I feel that my strength is leaving me, I remember those happy days with my wife, my childhood, my parents and war. I remember every moment, every word, and every human face, because I have a phenomenal memory from birth, or even before birth. At that moment before birth, when we were given the opportunity to look at our lives, and I remembered everything!
I am not afraid of death, I am afraid of oblivion, because I do not know what is waiting for me. What will happen after death?
I've known all my life before, so my whole life is like deja vu.
Could you live, knowing about your life all in advance?
