Colour by Kate Bilokin

Steve had been standing
by this picture for twenty minutes. «The history of the persistence of memory» by Salvador Dali was a reflection of his depression and mood. The predominant yellow and orange colors reminded him of boredom and rainy autumn outside the window.
– Was it necessary to fall into depression at this particular time of year? – he muttered under his breath and tilted his head to look at the picture from a different angle.
The Dali`s clock, which lost the shape, cast on the hero longing, but he could not tear his eyes.
–Gorblimy! Do these colors associate someone with joy and something positive? – the man was thinking. – As for me, yellow is such a nasty color! The color of the disease, my bitter antidepressants and the terrible shoes of my neighbor Marfl. Does anyone really think that this is the color of the sun? Fools! The sun is white, they would read a bit of scientific literature. – Steve's mouth is dry. He looked at the desert in the picture for so long that he wanted to drink. In fact, dry mouth was caused by medication. He did not notice how long he stood at the work of Dali.
– Boredom! Shouldn't art evoke positive emotions? –in fact, the world-famous artist hardly wanted to cause such negative feelings in Steve. But that day the man blamed the whole world.
